Can You Meditate in Any Position? Understand True Meditation!

Meditation is an eternal process of increasing consciousness. In relation to meditation, you should understand one thing very well that meditation is not something to be done. You cannot do meditation. No one can do meditation. How can anyone do meditation? 


You can be in meditation. Meditation can be within you but you cannot do meditation. Meditation is not an action. Meditation is the name of being aware, both in action and inaction.

Although it is not necessary to meditate in any particular position, but sitting in a particular posture makes it easier to meditate. Meditation can be easily achieved by sitting in a certain posture by folding both your legs in a quiet place. 


Getting into meditation can be extremely difficult in the beginning. The best position to meditate is to sit in any comfortable position but you have to keep a few things in mind. The spine should be kept straight. The face should not be tilted or raised.


But sitting and meditating in this way may not be easy for everyone. Many people say that keeping the spine straight, their body starts to ache. By keeping the hand in a particular posture, pain starts in the hand within a short time and they are not able to meditate. This happens to many people and happens to me too.


The good news is that you can go into meditation or say be in meditation in any situation. You can do meditation sitting in a chair, you can also do it on a sofa or a bed. 


Can You Meditate in Any Position


You can meditate even while walking in the garden. You can be in meditation even while eating food, taking a bath, or talking to someone. 


Meditation is not the name of just sitting for a few minutes or hours. Meditation is a continuous effect that should be there all the time.


There is no moment in which meditation cannot be done. Everything you do throughout the day can be converted into meditation. 


I told you earlier that meditation is not something to do. Only you can be in meditation, you cannot do it. That's why meditation can be done while doing every work. 


Every action can be done in meditation. Buddha and Osho emphasize the same thing, how to convert your whole routine into meditation.


You have to maintain your awareness while doing any work. Do not do any work in unconsciousness. While doing every work, know from within that you are working. The lamp of consciousness should be kept burning from within. 


Remember yourself while doing work, walking in the garden, bathing, and talking. Know from within that you are the one who is doing all this.


Do not let your mind wander while doing work. Mind is more fickle, always keep this thing in mind. Train the mind to remain where you are working. Your mind will wander many times but don't get discouraged. This is a trick of the mind.


The nonsense that goes on inside you, the thought that goes on, watch it with a witness and let go of that thought. Don't get caught up in that thought. Think only if it is necessary to think, otherwise don't let a single cloud of thoughts enter your mind. 


You just have to watch your own thoughts. Slowly thoughts will stop coming on their own. Practice is very important. Thank you.
