What did a monk Marpa say about death?

There was a monk in Tibet named Marpa. A man went to meet that monk and said, I have come to ask you about life and death.

Marpa started laughing and he said, if you want to ask about life, then definitely ask, because I know about life, about death, I have not met death to date, I do not even have any kind of acquaintance with it.

If you want to ask about death, ask those who died. I am alive, I can only talk about life, I can tell about life. But I have no acquaintance with death.

How to stop worrying about death?

Fear of death shows that we are unfamiliar with life. Fear of death means unfamiliarity with life. Life is flowing every moment. Breath by breath, particle by particle, all around, inside -outside, life is everywhere and we are familiar with it.

It can only mean that the person is in a deep coma. It can only mean that the full power of human life is not conscious, unconscious, unaware, or unfamiliar.

Why do you not know who you are?

If a man is asleep, he will not know who he is. What he is? Everything sinks into the darkness of sleep and he does not even know whether 'he is there or not. He also not gets to know about sleep when he sleeps. Only he wakes up then does he know that he was asleep. He doesn't even know that he was sleeping in his sleep.

It can only mean, a very deep spiritual sleep, a spiritual hypnotic sleep, a spiritual hypnotic sleep enveloping a person. Therefore he does not know about life or what life is.

No, we will reject it, we will say, what are you talking about? We know very well, what is life. We live, we walk, we rise, we sit, we breathe.

Even a drinker gets up, sits, walks, breathes, opens his eyes, and talks.

Even a madman wakes up, sits, sleeps, breathes, talks, and lives. But in living life, neither drinker can be said to be conscious, nor can it be said to have crazy awareness.

A drunkard had been cursing the Emperor-story

The Emperor's carriage used to leave on one road. A man stood on the road and started throwing stones, swearing and cursing.

The emperor's journey was a grand procession. That man was immediately caught by the soldiers and put in prison. But when he was cursing or swearing, the Emperor would laugh.

His soldiers were surprised, and his servants said, why are you laughing? Then the emperor said that in his opinion, that man does not know what he is doing, that man was drunk. Well, bring him before me tomorrow morning.

The next morning the man was brought before the emperor. The emperor asked him, yesterday you were cursing me, you were using bad words, what is the reason for that?

The man said, I. I was swearing. No, my lord, I am not the person who used that bad word, that is why the bad word was spoken. I was drunk and unconscious, and I don't know what I was saying. That wasn't me.

We are in deep sleep

Neither are we. In sleep we are walking, talking, loving, hating, and fighting. If someone is looking at us from a distant star, he will realize that the entire human race has fought a thousand wars, this is not the sign of an awakened man. The whole story from birth to death is a story of worry, sadness, and pain.

Not even a moment of joy is available. There is not even a particle of joy in life. What is joy? Not even news. Life goes on but there is not even a glimpse of happiness. This man cannot be said to be conscious. Sadness, anxiety, pain, despair, and madness—all of it

It is a story from birth to death. But we do not know about this, because all around us there are people who are sleeping like us.

Why was Jesus Christ crucified?

Sometimes a waking person is born once or twice, then we sleeping people get so angry that we will prove that waking person to be crazy or kill that person very quickly, we cannot tolerate him for a long time. We crucified Jesus for this reason. Your only fault is that you are a waking man.
